One of the greatest incidents in the history of mankind and especially Muslim history is Karbala Incident. It happened in Iraq when the sibling of Holy Prophet(PBUH) got attacked by ruler of the time and muslim world Yazid. The sky saw the strange war between 72 and 10000. All revolutions of muslim history find their roots in Karbala.
When Allah told his prophet Ibrahim(RA) to sacrifice his son, he asked his son Prophet Ismail(RA) about God,s will. The son replied"O father, do as you have been asked to do. You will find me among "Sabreen(the one who obey, feel contented and never say a word about it)" Insha Allah". Hazrat Ibrahim(RA) brought his son in the Arfat and blindfolded his eyes with a piece of cloth. He told him to lie on the ground and to get ready to be martyred in the way of Allah. Hazrat Ibrahim(RA) started knifing his neck but the knife did not work. He tried it three times after sharpening it but still it did not make a cut.
At the same time Allah called for all spirits of mankind and asked" Is there any spirit who can give a sacrifice so that life of Prophet Ismail(RA) is saved?". It was because almost all prophets especiallythe last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad(PBUH) were to come in this world were to be from the sibling of Hazrat Ismail(RA). At that crucial time the spirit of Hazrat Imam Hussain(RA) stood for this sacrifice. Then Allah Ordered the angel Jibrail to take a lamb and place it under the knife of Hazrat Ibrahim(RA).
Then the knife worked and a lamb was slaughtered in the ground of Arfat. That sacrifice which was promised in Aalam-e-Arwah(state of spirit before coming to this world) was given in the Karbala by Hazrat Imam Hussain(RA). All the muslims celebrate this sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim(RA) in the month of Zil-Hajj.
Allama Muhammad Iqbal , the great muslim poet and philosopher explained it in the following words:
Ajeeb sada o rangeen hy dastan-e-haram
Nehayat is ki Hussain Ibtda hy Ismail
Translation: The strange history of Haram-e-kaba (in fact history of all momneen ) is quite simple and interesting . It started from Hazrat Ismail(RA) and ended at Hazrat Imam Hussmain(RA).
Once Imam Khumaini, the revolutionist of Islamic Republic of Iran was asked" you did a great job as you brought a muslim revolution in Iran." He replied in the following words;
"The job was done by Karbala Incident. I just quoted it infront of every mother of Iran to send her son on the way where no option except death stands."

Imam Hussain was NOT the sibling of the Prophet pbuh. He was the grandson. This huge mistake should be rectified IMMEDIATELY.
Give reference that Allah Almighty called upon souls on this occasion.
