Hazrat Wasif Ali Wasif (RA). Rare audio tapes of him.

Hazrat Wasif was born on 15th Jan 1929 in Khushab. He belonged to a very prestigious cast Awan. At that time Khusab used to be a tehsil and the district was Shahpur. He passed the middle examination from Governament Middle School Khushab. Then he moved to his uncle who was a well known educationist of that time living in Jhang. He had also worked with Quaid-e-Azam while the Pakistan movement was going on.



He passed his matriculation, intermediate and BA examination from Jhang under Punjab University. He stood 1st in all these exams. He was a nice fellow and an excellent player of hockey for which he was awarded a colour. He started writing for college magazine "Ravian" when he was a student. he used to write in Urdu as well as in English.

he passed PCS exam but did not join it because of his nature and started his career as a teacher. Firstly he started teaching in a private college but in 1962, he laid the foundations of his own college. His first book regarding poetry was published in 1978 named "Shab Chragh".


Now the "Guftgu" part of his life started. He started preaching of the divine blessings. This was the time of hard work and services for humanity.He started writing columns for the newspaper "Nawa-e-Waqt". His 1st column named "Mohabat".

His first prose book was named "Kiran Kiran Sooraj" published in  1986. Then it was "Dil Drya samander" and "Qatra Qatra Qulzum" in 1987. "Harf harf haqeeqat" was published in 1994. "Bat se bat" was published in 1995 and "Guftgu (All parts)" was published in 1996. This great muslim scholar passed away on 18th January 1993. 


He used to say"Great people die, but their death adds up to their greatness".
