Islam is a religion... That's what all of us even non Muslims also know. But what it is actually??? No one seems bothered in exploring the philosophical basis of this religion. There are questions like why Islam at the end, why it completed the divine message for humanity and many more. Every one like scholars are too busy in making things streamlined for their own interests. Sufism is the last choice but as mentioned earlier, Sufism is also something like hidden treasure now a days.
These views about religion which I will be latterly mentioning are sole mine. And wherever I will be mentioning something, I will be quoting the specs of that piece of wordings.
Islam is the most sophisticated and most evolution-ed version of nature. Nature is ultimate divine will. This divine will refers to an ultimate unity i.e. concept of a creator. This creator is of course Allah. As mentioned in Surah Ikhlas. So Islam is everything natural. I would like to mention here a famous quote by Hazrat Sufi Azmat Ullah Shah RA who is renowned scholar and an eminent spiritual personality of the world, recently heading Silsla Naqeebia.
He said "Islam is common sense."
What does it mean??? Knowledge, neutral judgmental prospects, basic ethical aspects and environment define one's common sense. Islam is everything which no one on earth can prove it wrong or even criticize till the time that individual is biased. Religion and it's argumentation from Quran and Shriah is something beyond my scope for the time being. Because that individual who has to follow something, first of all asks for it's importance. Secondly I carry almost negligible knowledge about Quran and Shriah. The words I am writing is something I feel about and I fell like.
So Islam is only religion which opens doors towards journey of self, or spiritual journey. This journey leads towards experiences of truth of ultimate reality of this world. And this journey starts after an individual comes up to all the standards defined by religion.
A point I want to clarify here is that concept of journey of self is also there in other religions. Even If not following some religions, one can have basic understanding of it. But this is not Tsawuf or Islamic version of spirituality. People have started believing that Tsawuf is all about having some super natural powers or some negativity. This is not complete truth. A true seeker needs to draw a punch line between these misconceptions and then have thorough understanding and practicalities of religion i.e. Islam.
